Handbook
After revisions to Provision C.3
were adopted in July 2005, Program staff updated Chapters 1
and 2 of the SCVURPPP C.3. Stormwater Handbook to reflect changes
related to Group 2 requirements and the adoption of the HMP.
The updates include changes to the "Summary of Major Changes
to the Development Review Process" table, the development
review process flow charts and the C.3.Provisions Fact Sheet,
as well as the development of a new HMP Fact Sheet. Program
staff also drafted a Chapter 5 for the Handbook containing a
summary of HMP requirements and updated the Planning Procedures
Performance Standard (PPPS) to include the Group 2 and HMP requirements.
Site Design Guidebook
In 2004, the Program completed a
document entitled Developments Protecting Water Quality: A Guidebook
of Site Design Examples (Guidebook) that provides information
on local projects or areas where innovative design measures which
protect water quality have been applied.
Site Design Dialogues
The Program, in conjunction with
the WMI Land Use Subgroup, hosted four
dialogues (October 8, October 29, November 12 and December
10, 2003) of the underlying issues that may lead to potential
conflicts when incorporating better site designs from a water
quality perspective. Each meeting involved identifying potential
conflicts; a better understanding of the underlying issues surrounding
the conflicts, brainstorming possible solutions that could help
resolve the underlying issues; and discussing stakeholders that
should be involved in the discussion.
